In the help menu on the Adobe CS2 suite there is an activation transfer function. I have never had to use it but perhaps it will allow you to set CS2 up on a new machine. Also you may have to run the utility before you reload the program on the new machine perhaps that is why the Adobe server will allow you to register the reloaded program. I'm curious to know how this works out for you since I also have the CS2 suite and I am thinking about getting a new computer.
