Err ! Corrections to my previous statements ...
Apparently Lightnings were armed with ADEN cannons not Rarden Cannons,
and the missiles were Firestreaks not Sparrowhawks.
I'm getting on a bit now and the old memory ain't as good as it was.
Never was much good at remembering names anyway.
I'm now not quite sure exactly what the belly pod we nearly nicked contained. It was a rotary six barrel job, loaded with 1" diam explosive head ammo.
At a guess I'd say this was it, but it was mounted in a detachable belly pod. ...
