Rolife/Robotime Triplane

Another wooden 3D kit I received as a Christmas gift, the Robotime/Rolife Biplane, which is actually a triplane lol. It can be bought at Rolife's and Robotime's shops. The kit has 3 sheets and 145 pieces total. The model is a depiction of the Fokker Dr.I a well-known WWI German fighter aircraft. The propeller can spin if you loosen the propeller lock a little and the landing gear wheels do not roll. The model is quite easy to build and can be done fast. All the thin and/or small parts of the kit are fragile and should be carefully removed from the sheets to avoid snapping the parts. The kit includes a display stand and a nice touch of iron crosses on the tail fin, fuselage and the topmost wing.

Very nice. It seems there are a number of companies creating lasercut wooden kits now. I have a couple of Ugears kits from a number of years ago that I bought when they were just starting up on Kickstarter. Many of their kits use rubber bands to motorize the models.
