1/300 Petropavlovsk

Hi all, I recently started the Maly Modelarz Hiei. But pretty soon I got a bit intimidated so thought a simple model would help prepare me for the complexity of the Hiei. I have been interested in the 1/300 series from Kartonowa Flota. Mostly because they are very cheap. I haven't been able to find much information on them, and nothing on the Petropavlovsk.
There are six pages of parts, including frames on thin paper. There is also a diagram of where the parts go and Polish instructions.
The cardboard is thin but stiff. The printing is very sharp and a bit shiny. As the parts go together the shininess becomes less apparent.
The fit has been good so far. The shape of the hull seems to have been simplified a bit. This class of battleship had a very rounded tumblehome hull. The frames had this shape a bit, but once the sides were on it disappeared. Now the sides simply slope in. I should have rolled the side pieces to try and capture the shape better. The central part between the two six inch gun turrets is somewhat incorrect too. But overall the effect is pleasing. By the time the ship is finished(?) it will certainly look correct.
The colour is a brownish light gray. I can only compare the colour to other models of the Petropavlovsk. They are a darker greenish grey. Anyhow this colour will do. here are a couple of pictures of progress so far.
