Attach a ring inside the turret. Attach a ring with a slightly smaller diameter onto the deck where the turret goes. Slip the ring inside the turret over the ring on the deck. Rotate the turret. When the ship capsizes the turret will fall off, leaving a trail on the bottom of the ocean or lake that the people searching for the shipwreck can follow. TV documentary will not be far behind.
