i often try to imitate the original techniques
the foresail has 6 panels
my first try had to much pencil marks
i ended up making a second sail
but the first one served for trying out sewing on the bolt rope
(another way to avoid superglue, which is what i have used in the past)
i didn't use quite as many loops as the original
it takes a little while to get the knack of how to hold the rope while you thread the loop
all in all... its right up there with making treads for tanks
