Springfield might also be an option if you're looking to cut costs. It puts you about a 25 minute drive from NMUSAF in Fairborn. I know there's a little civic center/museum in downtown Spfld which is used for a small wargaming convention each year.
Of course, if people are flying in on commercial flights the Dayton area makes a lot more sense.

Yeah, I've already got a couple of ideas.
I'm thinking I could open another Paypal account (lol I already have two!)
and keep it dedicated to Paper-Con funds.
I've got a few fund raising ideas that could deposit money into that account.
If I raise enough over the next year, to cover the Convention costs,
I can go ahead and book everything without the Participant commitment.
Then, when people sign up, it will offset the costs and replace some of the funds spent.
Anyway, its an idea...a way to get a little more organized for a 2018 event?
