Smile Wings

what wings? Those are tiny little stubs for carrying external fuel tanks

The reality is that this plane was designed as an interceptor for long range bombers and never intended to dog fight, so really it only needed lift at low speed such as take off and landing. At Mach 2, there is enough lift just from the fuselage. Since the wings were so thin, they held no internal fuel at all.

So here it is:

Internal frames

dry fit the frames to the mating stub spar on the fuselage

the small stub on the wing bottom is to align and glue to the wing pylons.

Now add the wing skins

and glue to the fuselage.

These have been the easiest wing build ever.
