Between other projects I am still fiddling with this one...
but before I move on to the next piece of Airport Equipment,
I wanted to deal with an obvious accessory.
The long Two Bar thingy that goes behind these Tugs I just built.

Obviously some aircraft require a tow bar extension and this thing looks fairly common on the tarmac.
But at this scale, it presents a real problem to include (as a paper model).

I chose one of the largest Tow Bars, with its own suspended wheels.
And its still very small at 1/100 and 1/144.

The main Tube is only about 1.5 mm diameter (1/100)
Too tight for me to roll as a tube...and a bit too flimsy anyway.

I used a 1.5mm ABS (plastic) rod and wrapped some small paper parts around it.
The Hooks/Connectors are just about impossible to build and make functional.

I think I'll include some of the basic (very small) parts and a diagram of how it all assembles.
And give instructions to use a tube or rod of the necessary length/diameter.
(Just colour it white or yellow and wrap the paper parts)
