Time for TWO NEW KoolWheelz models!!!!!!

First up...

I saw this car back in about 1966...in Thunderball.
(I'm sure I saw Thunderball before Goldfinger)
But the car actually made its first appearance in Goldfinger.
Thats why the Corgi diecast version was released in Gold colour...even though the car appeared in the movie in silver.

Anyway...I have been wanting to make a paper version of this car for a long time.
Unfortunately its a very complicated shape...and to make it work as a KoolWheelz model
meant I had to come up with some major simplifications and shape changes that would still work visually.
As a result, its a tricky build...I've changed its skill rating to Advanced for that reason.

The model features ejection roof panel lines and an optional rear Bullet screen.
It was just too small to add the rolling Licence plates and hideaway front guns.

And those wheel hub spikes were fake anyway...not on the actual car.
Just a movie closeup fake effect.

The model is now available...you can find it in the StarCarz section.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Next up is a car I first saw in person back around 1968.
And of course, I had the original Monogram model...
and later, I had the Hot Wheels version (in 1969? I think)

The Red Baron was originally a Tom Daniels design...for the Monogram plastic model.
But Monogram had a real life version built by car builder Chuck Miller.
(It has been copied/rebuilt by other builders over the years)

This was another challenging model...trying to turn the complicated shape into paper
and simplify the entire car to be a one sheet, minimal part KoolWheelz model.

I decided to follow the original Tom Daniels design
rather than the real life version (or Hot Wheels versions) because they are considerably different.
I want it to be part of my Tom Daniel's tributes.

Its not the easiest build, but I think its pretty straightforward and not difficult.
I have also created an Assembly sheet for this model to make it easier.
Look in my KoolWheelz Instruction area of my forum (cutandfold-papermodelforum.com).

The Red Baron is available now and in the ShowCarz section of my website.
