It depends a lot on the designers approach to wing tips.
Marek, Nobi...and myself, all have a simple less complicated approach.
But it doesn't provide the best shaped or best looking wing tips.
Having said that, take a look at some real aircraft and you'll find some pretty messy wing ends!
Inside tabbed joiners can sometimes help, but sometimes a clean edge gluing works best.
It also comes down to how well the two surfaces mate.
Have they been cut correctly? Do the shapes properly match.
With my P47 tutorial, I pushed this approach of burnishing a curled edge.
And then butt joining/edge gluing the two surfaces together.
It worked well.
