I think where I am going with this, is that its less about an interior as it is about the novelty that these works of art are created out of aluminum cans. Those of us who choose to build within this medium understand that it is not as widespread as plastic or paper modeling so sparking interest and inspiring others to try a build or two is paramount to preserving the art.

Building with a clear canopy gives the curious onlooker the ability to see that it is truly all can and not simply can overlaid across an complex underlayment that takes away from the novelty. When I built my R2 Astromech, for example, I made it easy for others to see inside of him so that they could see he was indeed every bit aluminum. Just some casual observations from a fellow can modeler...
