I don't know what Crayola is using for their crayons and pencils but I have hard time having that compound to stick to edge if card evenly.I think it's something paraffin based,if you try drawing this line you will see that I mean.Clor comes out of those in chunks of something fatty as water based glue doesn't stick to it at all.I had to give my pencils to niece and get artistic pencils to color edges.
On other hand I use grey pencils most of the time.A lot cheaper and easier to use and effect is even better than colored pencil.
