The paper modelling looks like a great find.
There is probably a lot to learn from there - many of the old craftsmen were hyper skilled without need fancy modern tools.
If in London visit the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich. There are model ships of Admiralty Models from the 1600's that will make your mouth hang open!
