Sticking with the Familie Journal theme, I've been working on the Guldkaret from Illustreret Familie-Journal, with a goal of trying to make a toy of George Washington's Inauguration Carriage
You have probably seen the Guldkaret, but don't remember it by that name
I made substantial headway on cleaning it up, made it so that the sides have inner faces to avoid the whiteness, and did a test build. Fit was not good
Adjusted the files (measuring this time, rather than trusting the original designer), but it really needs to have some sort of fore-carriage between the front wheels. I think I have an idea for that.
I want to have an 18th century carriage for gamers (not overly elaborate, and easy to build) that looks good on the table. Then make a version of this for Washington's inauguration carriage, and then one of Washington's personal carriage, see attached.
Then I want to make a modelers version. Wish me luck
I wish I knew more about Washington's presidential mansion on the same page as the coach. It would make an interesting model, too
