jleslie48.... That's a great effort on the little LSM for your father-in-law. The look on his face is priceless. These ships were a true backbone during the island hopping campaign, and they haven't received enough coverage in the commercial kit market. So many sailors served on these in WWII.
I can't wait to build here and the Sherman tank that needs to go in the payload bay for added realism!

Yeah, his ship was LSM 422, as in the 422nd LSM. It didn't even have a name. Meantime he and 80 other guys lived on it for years.
