Hello Falco,
As I see it, using only a profile drawing is not a "scratch built", but more a recolor.
To do a scratch build you need drawings with side, top, bottom, front view and fuselage sections like the one seen below.

3D general drawing and cockpit details are also very helpful
All of this can be found in the world wide internet library, and this is what I am using to do a scratch build model.
Just to be clear on this issue, I am not using any other paper model as a "reference", all is drawn by me.
