Hi All,
And hi, Flagirl 727. You mentioned getting some thicker paper, and selecting the right cardstock can be a real poser. I like to build larger vintage models, and for the sake of strength I often use a 110 lb. cardstock. This would be too heavy for many smaller models and for them I'll use either a 65 lb. card or a 67 lb. card. I've attached a pair of photographs showing some of the product available from Neenah. I look for a cardstock with a smooth finish, as it seems to give the best prints for modeling.
Ultimately, the choice of paper is a personal preference and a bit of experimentation is worth the effort.
Score and fold,
Thumb Dog
