For the laminations I'm using jumbo glue sticks from staples and then putting the part between two large boards with weight on them. For everything else I'm using the incomparable Aleene's tacky glue.
On a separate topic, I'm toying with the idea of writing down how to do all of this stuff (non-trivial building and designing). I have 3-4 pages of outline so far. Would a book like that be useful?
