That joint is always a weak point, especially for early bikes where the top and bottom tubes come together at the head. I imagine it was true for the real bikes, too, as later designs keep the tubes separate where they meet the head, to reduce the stresses.
At least the break looks pretty clean, so you should be able to recover quickly.
