I meant Peter Sellers.
He had signed on to play a serious James Bond, despite what everyone else was doing. He even hired his own script writer to rewrite his lines for him before finally walking out when they refused to make him James Bond.
The final movie was actually pieced together from the remains of three different movies they'd attempted to make before the studio halted production and told them to just edit together something that will work.
I just love Peter's devotion to believing he was the star of the movie he was only a bit-part of.
