Now... has anyone actually seen the real Chitty Chitty Bang Bang?
I saw it, at a car show, back around 1969, 1970...
I have some photos somewhere, but I am having trouble finding them.
It was big!
And I heard it really didn't get along with Dick van Dyke.
Tried to rewrite its own scenes to avoid working with him.
This is all heresay of course...much of it from the unauthorized biography "My Mother...not a Car!"
Where is Chitty now?...I haven't looked it up.

re Wikipedia...six Chittys were built... only one fully functional.
Peter Jackson bought it.
(His memorabilia collection is absolutely amazing by the way!)
