More south-east corner buildings
Thank you Ricardo and Kurt! Indeed, the warm colors make this an attractive model to make. In reality the cathedral looks rather greyish, which would take away quite some of the appearance when applied to the model.
In the meantime, the cluster of buildings at the southeast corner is done. Fun to make but a lot of work involved. No serious fitting issues, except for the last building on the right side in the pictures (building "W") where one of the roof bays did not coincide with its gable. A minor correction to make.
Well at least I’m happy that all buttresses are in place now and that the remaining side roof “panels” can be installed. This will then complete let's call it the ground floor of the cathedral.
For proper aligning the side roof panels I already glued strips of 0.5mm thickness cardboard on the tabs as done previously for the other side roof sections. The second last picture indicates the situation before and the last picture after gluing the board strips.
Cheers,
Erik
