External hard drive is what I use for storage of fileds,documents,films and all my paper models.The only thing I keep in comp are current and ongoing projects and even they get uploaded to external every so often.I learned it hard way with my first comp crash.
Btw-external hard drive should never be left plugged into comp.I lost 2 comps to viruses and such and all my files survived only because they were in unplugged hard drive.
