Eric te Groen has a page of standees in various scales including 1:25 at
Ariespapermodels. It's not specifically of a scientist but it's also not anime. It's in gif format.
EDIT: There are also some of his models that contain figures of scientists/technicians. The Meteosat models have them in 1:40.
