Here are a few photos of the actual “A Bit O’ Lace” that should be useful. When adding weathering to a B-17 model, remember, those four slots on top of the wing behind the engines are not exhaust ports. They are cooling slots for the oil cooler and turbo charger intercoolers. The overhead B&W photo of the B-17F gives a good idea of how the weathering should look. You can also see it if you look very closely in the “A Bit O’ Lace” photos.
