Wow! 25.5 inches is a good size project for sure and I can only imagine the storage issues that this one created for you. But as you said, sometimes seeing the completed model and the satisfaction of making it happen outweighs the problem it creates. I've built a few huge ones in my day, mostly as a challenge to myself and my building skills to see if I could make it happen.
