I've only used glue sticks for card making. It has been my experience that over time the glue gives out. Does that happen with this type of glue stick? I tend toward Aleene's tacky glue. The paper bonds stronger than it was before and interweaves.

Also, how do people apply their glue? I have seen photos of people using white glue with a brush and water, but that would seem to put too much moisture on the paper (the reason I don't use Elmer's white glue). I usually apply glue with a straightened paper clip. I have two sizes for the size of the part that I'm gluing. I'll tidy up beads of glue with my Xacto blade for smaller parts. Thoughts?
