Although I like to look at them, I store them because I don't have an adequate space to display them and want to keep them for display at events with other paper modelers.
I realize the transitoriness of paper models, but want them to last long enough for a few displays. As attendees at the IPMC can attest, I have brought out many of the same models for years -- indeed, in spite of the inevitable attrition, I have some dating from the 90s and two or three from the 70s.
Plastic boxes stave off damage and keep them readily accessible. And when it is time for a paper modeling event, it is easy to pack the boxes in a car and transport them.
