Hi all!
Money is tight (isn't it always) this year, and I had an idea for a project that might make a memorable Christmas present for my lady wife.
I've been toying with the idea of egg-carving/etching for a while, but this seems to take things to a slightly less-sane-than-expected level.
It is my intention to take an empty egg shell and "paint" it with clear acrylic a/o clear nail polish, then use vinegar to dissolve the shell- hopefully leaving behind a clear acrylic shell.
Match that with gold-painted cardstock wheels and decorations, I hope to create a miniature "crystal Cinderella's carriage".
I'll undoubtedly be posting images of test-build parts and assembly.
This is my basic idea- though obviously the materials and decorations will be different.
I am curious, though, if anyone can offer tips, insight, or foresee roadblocks in my way.
Please advise.
