Thanks all for the suggestions. I have RCAF drawing 51817 that shows a 15-inch crest goes there, and the history has 5323 first with 102 composite squadron and then 424 Transport. It doesn't seem to look like the 424 crest, and could be it was with a 102 squadron crest (which I can find no reference at all). I was thinking it is in arctic scheme, but none of those crests seem to fit the colours either. There might be the far-off chance it was actually being used at the time of the photo by the SAR parachute guys with the high visibility markings. I think in the end, and at this scale, I will just use the 424 Trenton crest and fix it if any new info comes up.

If anyone comes across some new info, please let me know if this peaks your interest.
