Years ago I use to work with Egyptian guy who claimed to be stuck in motor pool repair shop in mid 1970s for 2 years+ .He worked on armored carriers but mostly fixing Soviet trucks and cars they had and they had a lot of those.
He liked working on them.His almost exact words "they kept me busy,away from trouble and idiot officers.They kept on braking usually the same parts and we kept on fixing them".
