The two both fought in Vietnam although not in the exact same time. The Super Sabre started the war from the begining while the Corsair II from December 1967. But on the other hand the Corsair II fought till the end of the war in early 1973 so they are even.
Both performed endless attack missions and while the F-100 main theatre was south Vietnam the Corsair main attacks were against North Vietnam which was much more riskier . As 270 F-100 were lost vs only 54 A-7 it is a clear win for the Corsair II.
So how the slower plane did it ? the answer is simple - better attack and navigation systems that allowed it to destroy a target in one pass !!!
Not only that it could carry twice the bomb load to a greater range and therefore the CORSAIR II is the clear winner !!!
