Speaking from ignorance, because I've never actually tried it, DoubleCAD XT v5 from
https://www.turbocad.com/content/doublecad-xt-v5
claims to be an AutoCAD LT work-alike, is free, and appears to have a reasonable graphics capability.
Might save a step for you.
