Work has started on the stacks and turrets. Typically, the original drawings needed adjustment, actually several adjustments. If the stack tube isn't just right, the stack caps will give a lot of problems. The turret as seen here has not provision for gun elevation or turret rotation. There are drawings ready. but the turret cabin has to fit the ship properly for them to be adjusted. The model is still in the boiler plate stage. You can see all the areas which needed refitting. The actual prototype will not be too long away. That will include all of the small details. Here are two shots to show the current progress.
