The whole process of photographing, digitizing, and transmission must be muting these colors -- the Valiants in my memory were much brighter, especially the red and yellow ones. The other surprise from this image is that there are so many shades of blue -- I would have thought that the factory would have produced the cars in just a dark blue and a light blue.
