Dave, As Vermin King suggested, you may be able to accomplish it with conic sections. It seems the Dome shape can be simply a series of distorted conic sections glued together. When I was designing a rocket without any 3D SW, I created an Excel file to help layout the conic sections to get the ogive shape of the rocket. Here is the Zipped Shroud Calc02.xls Excel file I used for designing this Rocket by hand. Maybe you'll find it useful.
