Dear All:
A few years ago I did a few Nativity boxes, and my aunts went crazy about them, so this year I am doing some variations and i will keep you posted.
This year I got some nice boxes from Daiso (available at least in the US, Brazil and Japan) with approximately 14 cm x 10 cm x 3 cm of usable space. The bigger, the easier the cutting. By the way, Mexicans are big on Nativities (Nacimientos), Posadas and Pastorelas.

Posadas, reenactment of the journey of Joseph and Mary to Bethlehem by friends, families, a street, or a small community. They start on December 16 and end in Christmas Eve. They include a precession requesting lodging, fireworks, a 7-pointed pinata (yes, started in Mexico representing the seven deadly sins and the blessings coming if you resist them by hiting the pinata), and of course food.

Pastorela, reenacted by a troop of actors (amateur or profesional) the journey of the shepherds to arrive to the nativity and the perils (temptations) they face in their quest.

In English (part one you may find easily the rest)
