I'm indeed going off-script with the order of building. I prefer to build the underwater part first because I don't want to damage more visible parts above the waterline, and because the waterline comes out neater if the underwater parts are underneath.

Looks great, agreed, always looks more seamless if the underwater plating is installed 1st. Most people look down on the model when viewing so the edge disappears without any aides.
