Sergey's method for making 3d tracks, as described by Don above, is very effective.
Bear in mind the method is designed for use on 1/50 or smaller vehicles.
a) Simply copy two sets of tracks and then, before you cut the tracks out, draw up the templates on them (or work out where your cuts should be to create the templates), and then cut the tracks out to the template shapes.
b) Using this method there is no need to colour the finished tracks, as you will retain the model track colouring.
c) Colour the cut edges.
d) Then glue the two templates together.
e) Cut off the surplus material.
f) At 1/50 or smaller scales you should have no trouble bending the tracks.
