DD-793 update
Hi All;
Well, the twin 40 MM mount is now aboard and the base for the director as well. The twin forty rotates, but it is just on a pin and is not really satisfactory. Have to think about that some more. The mast work and radar antennae are redrawn and are being test fitted. Scrutiny of the mast tripod reveals that the original tripod was cut down and the after legs re-positioned. The stubs of the original legs are visible just aft of the foreleg, if you stand on the pier and look directly upward. Here are photos of the prototype just before the mast work is attached. It will be all small parts from here on.
