10 – Railing and Cabins

Hello To All:
I decided it was time to make some railing. A pair of small pieces (seen in image 062) were needed for the top of one of the cabins. The first two photos show what should be enough handrails for the duration of the project. This is the classic French railing with the top stringer painted red. The two cabins, the railing and the ladders are all made of paper.

Here (last photo) is an attractive historic image showing Neptune, and in the background is Hoche at Toulon. Note the number “1880” in the lower right. That cannot be the year, since construction on Neptune did not begin until 1882. This is a “Marius Bar” photo, so perhaps it is an inventory number.

Warm Regards,
Mike
