Greetings Ab,
This is a very fine and instructional piece you have taken the time here to write.
May I make some Comments?
As I read through the instructions, I was surprised by how quickly you were able to create a hull.
And now I can see how you achieve that authentic wood appearance on your hull, as you describe in great detail in the section about painting.
You describe an interesting technique on coloring your sails in a bowl of tea.
May I assume that many of the techniques you describe, particularly the ones for the sails and rigging, come from your long years of wood ship building?
It is inspiring for me to read and watch the techniques behind your work, even for an iron and steel ship builder (god forbid) like myself. Perhaps someday, with some of your techniques, I may attempt a “sail ship” project.
Warmest Regards,
Mike
