I'm glad you are doing the Eastern color scheme, Isaac. It was very good looking to my eye. From 1981-84, when I was stationed in the Pentagon, I used to do a daily run across the Memorial Bridge and around the Mall. There would be a steady stream of these pretty airplanes (and others) passing low overhead as I crossed the bridge.
I also built some small-scale plastic models of 727s and 737s, including a couple of Eastern DC-9s similar to those in your images (can't remember the manufacturer or the scale, although they must still be around, buried in the basement).
I also have the Skyline model of the DC-9-31 N8952E and will probably want to try to build it when I see your under construction, although I am sure that I won't actually do it.
But I will enjoy yours.
