To achieve the oily effect on the chain I used three products from Vallejo.
First the chain was brush painted with a coat of Model Color Oily Steel and left to dry for a few hours. Then it was given a Dark Brown wash and left again to dry. To finish it off a final wash of Engine Oil Stain which gave it that "wet" oily look.
