Good point. The interior walls are laminated to stiff 1mm card. The exterior texture sheets will be applied to the backside of that card. Cardstock alone (65#) would certainly not be stiff enough for walls this size.
For HO scale buildings, I use 0.5 mm card (cereal boxes) and basswood or balsa interior bracing.
