For the slats on the leading edge, do you wish you had reshaped the wing's leading edge, or would that create more trouble and bad shape problems than its worth for the effect you got. (It looks like you added the slats to the existing leading edge?)

As I recall, my leading-edge slats were made from a metallic paper that I cut to shape and folded. Then I glued them to the existing leading edge of the wing.
I gave some thought to trying to figure out a way to recess the leading edge, but I decided in this scale it would be more trouble than it was worth. Plus, leaving the leading edge intact aided in keeping the wing's structure fairly solid.
