Another reasonably sized 1/100 scale plane. This time the military version of the Douglas DC-9, the C-9 Nightingale, based on the DC-9 30 with an elongated fuselage, and equipped as a specialized hospital aircraft with the objective of removing serious and medium-complexity injuries from the front lines. Introduced into US military services in the mid-1960s, the C-9s were in service until 2017.
