re old stuff

Hi Shadow Cory;
I understand your plight very well. There are at least eight different types of tremors. The NIH has a good fact sheet pertaining to them. The diagnosis and treatment is a matter between you and your neurologist and I wouldn't presume to get involved. They were only mentioned to illustrate the fact that the paintings can't be done now. This is a situation that I just have to live with, and compensate as best I can. As to the subject of computer drawing, the design of DD-793 was accomplished using Microsoft Paint. It's slow and tedious, but the advantage is that the drawings can be worked pixel by pixel. The result is pretty accurate. The time spent on research and history is about equal to the time spent drawing. The build is much faster. There is no pretense of being a good build, it's more of an exercise in stamina and refusal to quit. Here is the last painting done when there was still some control. It's about five years old, acrylic, and 28x24" in size. Getting old is a real nuisance. Your only defense is to keep getting older, and learn to compensate as things fall apart. Hope this information is useful.
PS: I have to type out text on Microsoft Word, then get rid of all the typos, then cut and paste onto the message. Compensation.
Regards rjccjr
