Finally enough progress to warrant taking pictures.
Thanks for the comments Alan. The slots thing is that the designers of models lay out perfect parts but we humans can't make perfect parts.
Sum of our slots are too long and some too short. If two short slots are mated the part won't fit properly.
So by trying to make them too long, which does no harm, at least the probability of short ones is reduced.


Just starting to lay the hold-floor/double-bottom-cover. The rectangular openings at the sides are sumps and the middle is for the echo sounder.
The hexagonal hole is for a structural pillar. The rest are manholes.
